Department of Older Persons

 Department of Older Persons is a department under the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security. The establishment was on March 6th, 2015 in according to the Reorganization of Ministries, Sub-Ministries, and Department Act (issue 14th), B.E. 2558. The mission of the Department is to promote elder potential, welfares and the right’s protection. The Department cooperates with all related sectors in order to implement its tasks efficiently.

CU COLLAR

Collaborating Centre for labour research, Chulalongkorn University (CU-ColLaR), established in 2019 is a collaboration between Chulalongkorn University and the Ministry of Labour. We commit ourselves to realising the principles of decent work for all workers. We seek to attain this as a platform for research and knowledge production and dissemination and for cooperation between stakeholders within the local and global community.

Chula ARI

Established in 2018, Chula ARi is a multidisciplinary-approach project, designed to improve the quality of life of the elderly. The project research was conducted in four large-scale neighborhoods of Bangkok, namely Wang Thong Lang, Sam Praeng (Praeng Phuthon, Praeng Nara and Praeng Sappasat), Phasi Charoen, and Din Daeng Housing Estate, in which 1,361 senior citizens were living.
To find ways to improve the quality of life for the elderly, Chula ARi has worked with different departments in the university to conduct studies in five areas.

Thailand Development Research Institute

The Thailand Development Research Institute (TDRI) was established as a public policy research institute in 1984. Its legal form is that of a private non-profit foundation. It provides technical analysis (mostly but not entirely in economic areas) to various public agencies to help formulate policies to support long-term economic and social development in Thailand.

HomeNet Thailand

HomeNet Thailand was founded in 1999 as an NGO to support home-based workers across Thailand. HomeNet Thailand Association, a membership-based organization (MBO) composed primarily of home-based workers with 5,000 members across Thailand. The Foundation for Labour and Employment Promotion (FLEP), an NGO which provides technical support to HomeNet Association and other MBOs in Thailand.
